1. Sponge
Sponge is a kind of porous material, because of its good elasticity, it is the best choice for making dinosaur muscle texture. Common synthetic sponges generally fall into three categories in the industry: low-density polyether sponges, medium-density polyether sponges, and high-density polyether sponges. High-density sponge refers to a sponge with a weight of more than 25 kilograms per cubic meter of sponge. The concept of high-density sponge is that density is an important indicator of matter. In order to make the simulated dinosaur feel more delicate, high-density sponge with higher elasticity is usually used, which has the characteristics of good comfort, better elasticity and not easy to deform.
2. FRP
FRP is a composite material with excellent properties. It is characterized by light weight and high strength. Its relative density is between 1.5 and 2.0, which is only 1/4 to 1/5 of carbon steel, but its tensile strength exceeds that of carbon steel. In terms of strength, it can be compared with some high-grade alloy steels without losing. In addition, its corrosion resistance is also very good, and the plasticity of FRP is very strong, and the price is quite excellent. In terms of technology, it can be formed at one time, and the operation is not complicated.
3. Silicone
There is a very obvious difference between dinosaurs made of silicone and dinosaurs made of fiberglass: silicone will feel more realistic, but the effect of lack of sponge in terms of elasticity will be better, and general silicone will also have a "memory" function, but this is for viewing. In the industry, as long as tourists touch it hard, the place will not rebound over time, so it is not widely used in simulated dinosaurs.
