We know very little about plesiosaurs, and the fossil record of these dinosaurs is extensive. However, they do appear in the fossil record and we now know a lot about their lives, diet, and procreation. The following is a brief overview of the various plesiosaur species. They were among the top predators of the Western Interior Seaway, a large inland sea during the Cretaceous period.
